Licensed Practical Nurses LPNs

Licensed Practical Nurses(LPNs)

Education and Training

We verify the LPN’s completion of an accredited LPN program and their current licensure in good standing.

Clinical Skills Evaluation

We assess the LPN’s competency in performing essential tasks relevant to the open position. This might involve evaluating their ability to take vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and administer medications under RN supervision.

Empathy and Communication

We look for LPNs who demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to provide compassionate care to patients. The interview process will explore their communication style and ability to build rapport with patients and families.

Example

A long-term care facility seeking LPNs to assist with resident care.  Northwest Healthcare Services would prioritize candidates with experience in a long-term care setting and a strong foundation in basic nursing skills. The clinical skills evaluation would focus on tasks like transferring residents, assisting with toileting, and monitoring vital signs. Interviews would explore the LPN’s experience working with elderly populations and their ability to provide emotional support and patient education.
